夫婦共働きの慌ただしい朝、出勤途中に息子を保育園へと送るのが大木の日課。息子のクラスを受け持つ和花とは何気ない日常会話を交わす程度、ごく普通の保育士と保護者の間柄だった。そんな中、何日か園で和花の姿を見なくなり、久々に顔を合わせた彼女にはいつもの元気がなかった。心配した大木が和花を気遣うと、この数日で起きた悲しい出来事を打ち明ける和花。いつも明るく頼りがいのある和花先生の裏に隠された弱い一面を垣間見てしまった大木は、ついほうっておけなくなり、さらにはふたりの立場をわかっていながらも一線を越えてしまうのだった…。

On busy mornings, with both husband and wife working, Oki's daily routine includes dropping his son off at daycare on his way to work. He and Waka, his son's teacher, were just an ordinary daycare teacher and parent, exchanging casual conversations. Then, after not seeing Waka at the daycare for a few days, Oki noticed she wasn't her usual cheerful self when he finally saw her again. Worried, Oki asked her about her well-being, and she confided in him about the sad events that had happened in the past few days.
